His Seventh Labor

After Hercules returned after killing the Stymphalian birds, Eruystheus sends him to go and retrieve a certain bull from Crete alive. Herucles got into a ship, and a good wind took him immediately from the port. When he got near the island, a great storm rose up. This storm greatly demoralized the crew, who became greatly fearful. Hercules commanded the ship and ordered it to continue towards Crete. After a little while a great calm set in and the sailors brought the ship to land. Hercules left the boat and went to the king of Crete, explaining his reason for coming. Hercules then went and took the bull by the horns and dragged it back to the ship, which he sailed back to Greece.
